The Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville is seeking a senior leader to oversee technical training and IT career programs, aligning efforts with the division's strategic vision and the college mission.
Responsibilities include directing staff, budgeting, developing partnerships with industry, pursuing workforce development grants, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. A strong background in workforce training and program leadership is required.
This position will provide leadership and direction for technical training (skilled construction trades apprenticeship partnerships and building & industrial program areas) plus information technology (IT) career training consistent with the strategic vision of the assigned division and the mission of the College. Master’s degree required, degree in business, technology, or education preferred with five years (5) experience developing and implementing workforce development programs required or a Bachelor's degree with seven years (7) of similar experience required. Of the five years’ experience three of those years must be in a managerial capacity. Experience in writing and managing grants and/or contracts preferred. Knowledge of apprenticeship and/or work-based learning models preferred. Technical training and/or IT training program experience preferred. Knowledge of Federal, State, and County workforce development systems preferred.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
