Lever, Inc. is actively seeking a Director of Technology Intelligence & Intellectual Property Strategy in Houston, TX. This senior individual contributor role focuses on aligning engineering, product development, and IP strategy to protect innovation and guide future product direction.

You will work with executive leadership and external patent counsel to shape IP strategy, perform landscape analysis, and drive patent-focused decision making across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering, product development, innovation, IP, or related field.
• Ability to translate technical and IP concepts for engineering/executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Monitor competitor patents and emerging technologies.
• Conduct patent landscape and competitive technology intelligence analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify patentable Innovations.
• Support FTO and design-around assessments.
• Translate patent claims into practical guidance for engineers.
• Coordinate activities with external patent counsel.
• Develop repeatable IP intelligence and strategy processes.
• Prepare technology intelligence reports for leadership.
