Job summary

MERGE in Boston is seeking a Director of Talent Management to lead performance management, employee relations, and the talent roadmap. This hands-on executive role focuses on building structured people programs and ensuring continuity across payroll and HR operations.

You will partner with agency leaders to drive accountability, mitigate risks, and deliver timely guidance. The role demands 10+ years of HR leadership and a proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within an agency, technology company or fast-paced professional services environment.
• Hands-on experience executing and operationalizing performance management, talent reviews and employee programs.
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and roadmaps.
• Strong employee relations judgment and working knowledge of employment law and regulatory requirements.
• Proven success building scalable processes, SOPs, controls and operating rhythms.
• Experience supporting payroll processes and working knowledge of payroll controls; ADP experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end performance management cycles with planning, goals, assessments, and communications.
• Develop clear project plans with ownership, timelines, dependencies and risks.
• Ensure leaders and employees understand Talent processes and required actions.
• Maintain Talent Management toolkits, workflows, templates and process documentation.
• Provide Talent leadership with concise reporting on progress and risks.
• Own offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation.
• Operationalize new or updated programs across the agency.
