Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital is seeking an experienced Perioperative Services Administrator to oversee all areas within the division on a 24/7 basis, including Pre-Procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service.

The role drives policy development, quality improvement programs, and budgeting, while ensuring proper staffing, staff development, and morale across perioperative teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Five years of experience including three years progressive management/leadership required.
• RN licensure in Georgia required or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure acceptable for RN.
• Certification in area of clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes admin responsibility for all perioperative services on a 24/7 basis, including Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service.
• Develops policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility.
• Develops capital and operating budgets for the Perioperative Services Division.
• Ensures staffing, hiring, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, and employee morale.

Responsible for assuming administrative responsibility for all areas/functions of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis including, but not limited to, pre-procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service. Develops policies and procedures as well as the quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility. Develops the capital and operating budgets for Perioperative Services Division. Ensures areas of responsibility are appropriately staffed, including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
