Job summary

Ferrara in Chicago is seeking a Director of Supply Planning to set strategic direction and lead execution across planning for Ferrara’s manufacturing network. You will optimize inventory, service levels, sourcing and capacity, partnering with cross-functional teams in IBP/S&OP to improve agility and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 7-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, planning, or operations.
• Experience leading network or capacity planning and influencing senior teams.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and BI experience preferred.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply planning across internal plants and external partners.
• Lead short- and mid-range network capacity planning and site reviews.
• Develop sourcing strategies considering capacity, cost, and service.
• Represent planning in IBP/S&OP forums and drive cross-functional trade-offs.
• Establish inventory policies including safety stock and weeks-of-supply targets.
• Drive improvements in service, turns, adherence, and obsolescence.
• Lead root-cause analysis for supply disruptions and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Plant Ops, Material Planning, Commercial, and Finance leaders.
• Coach and develop a high-performing planning team.
