The Director of Supply Planning owns supply planning performance across the Americas and EMEA and is accountable for delivering the forecast from a supply perspective: making sure the supply is bought, produced and positioned to ship what has been committed, and flagging early where it can't be. Scope:
  • Region: Global — Americas and EMEA / Rest of Globe
  • Brands: Full MGA portfolio

Responsibilities:
  • Owns the Global Supply Plan: Accountable for supply planning performance in both regions. Sets the plan and the targets; the Managers execute.
  • Manages the Supply Planning Managers: Weekly 1:1s, development plans, and goal setting. Coaches on the actions that move a number, not just the number itself. Identifies and develops a successor.
  • Delivers the Forecast: Accountable for shipping against the locked 8 month forecast in both regions. Runs the monthly review at category and item level, with a named owner on every material miss.
  • Owns the 5 Month Forward Supply Match: Consolidates the Americas and EMEA match into one executive view, published monthly to Executive Leadership, Sales, Demand Planning and Order Management. Items reviewed by suffix, shortages and overages reason coded, with shortage length in weeks, recovery date, and sales risk in units and dollars.
  • Flags What Supply Can’t Cover: Identifies where the forecast can’t be delivered — lead time, capacity, tooling or material constraint — early enough for Demand Planning and Sales to adjust, rather than after the miss.
  • Earliest Product Availability: Holds production start dates, production lead times and transit against launch and replenishment dates. Required forecast adjustments go back to Demand Planning ahead of time, not after the miss.
  • Retail In Stock: Owns the in-stock recovery at Target and defends Walmart. Weekly stand-up with the account team, item-by-item review of the top 50 SKUs, and tighter ATP and allocation rules.
  • Inventory Health: Drives finished goods inventory back into range in both Americas and ROG. Owns the aged and obsolete liquidation plan, days-on-hand targets by velocity, and cross-border transfers to clear regional overstock.
  • Tooling Spend Gate: Builds and runs the approval gate for Supply Planning tooling POs — every PO validated against the locked forecast and capacity before it issues. Runs the quarterly portfolio review with PD Ops and Finance, challenging duplicate tooling and phasing spend to the demand curve. Tooling is currently running at 2.4% of net revenue against a 1.5% floor.
  • Monthly Supply Planning Review: Chairs it — decisions documented, actions assigned with owners and dates. Represents Supply Planning in the monthly S&OP / S&OE executive review.
  • Owns the Seasonal Cycle: Chase/Cancel, Fall and Spring modular resets, Drop Dead and Red Zone dates, China/HK holiday shutdown planning, and global production allocation — delivered through the Manager team.
  • Production Attainment: Works through HKPPC and the Managers to hold the factory base to weekly production output against plan.
  • Escalation Point: Allocation conflicts, air freight and expedite approvals, and shortage recovery calls that the Managers can't settle.
  • Owns the Planning Calendar: Publishes the department's operating calendar and holds the team to it.
Expected Outcomes:
  • Shipped against the 8 month lock at Base or better in both regions.
  • 5 month forward supply match published monthly for the Americas and EMEA, with shortages reason coded and recovery dates named.
  • Retail in stock recovered above floor at Target and across the total account base.
  • Tooling spend back inside the envelope, with the approval gate live and the large majority of POs reviewed before issuance.
  • End of year inventory representing 10% of total gross sales.
  • 100% OTIF for Fall and Spring modular resets.
  • A named successor identified and in development.
