Job summary

National Vision, Inc. seeks a Director of Supply Chain Applications to lead a portfolio of SCM tech, modernize legacy platforms, and guide cloud-based transitions.

You will oversee IBM i environments (AS/400 / iSeries), JDA customization, and complex integrations while partnering with Supply Chain and Finance leaders to deliver scalable solutions. You will define roadmaps, manage risk, and ensure system reliability, with a focus on production stability, governance, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Four year college degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field (Required).
• 9+ years related experience on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries) (Required).
• Experience sunsetting legacy JDA/IBM env and migrating to SaaS such as Oracle (Preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership of application development and support teams (Required).
• Experience leading enterprise application portfolios supporting supply chain, distribution, retail or similar.
• Experience with highly customized packaged applications with complex rules and interfaces (Required).
• Experience leading supply chain platform modernization or migration initiatives (Required).
• Strong ability to translate constraints and business needs into priorities and plans (Required).
• End-to-end understanding of supply chain processes (Required).

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of critical applications to support long-term goals.
• Own the supply chain application portfolio including strategy and lifecycle planning.
• Oversee a customized JDA environment on IBM i (AS/400 / iSeries).
• Provide technical direction for RPG, CL, database interactions, batch workflows and interfaces.
• Review complex code, assess impacts, guide production issue troubleshooting.
• Manage ALDON source control, change management, deployments and rollback planning.
• Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Document critical business rules, interfaces, and dependencies.
• Define and maintain standards for design, coding, testing, and release management.
