Job summary

La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, CA invites an entrepreneurial, energetic leader to direct our summer, extended-day, and after-school experiences. The Director will own these programs end-to-end, developing vision, enrollment strategies, staffing, and operations to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families.

You will build programs that grow, partner with the community, manage budgets, and coach staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; relevant degree in education, business, recreation, child development, hospitality, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.
3+ years of progressively responsible experience leading camps, auxiliary programs, youth organizations, enrichment programs, or related operations.
Experience working with children and families and leading seasonal or part-time teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a vision and strategy for Country Day's enrichment programs, including summer, after school, and extended day.
Assess needs of LJCDS families and the San Diego community to identify new offerings, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
Develop and manage the annual program portfolio, including offerings, schedules, capacities, pricing, and requirements.
Evaluate enrollment, family feedback, and market trends to strengthen programs.
Oversee enrollment, marketing, and community outreach; build relationships with community organizations.
