Job summary

La Jolla Country Day School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and dependable Extended Day Group Leaders to join our Lower and Middle School After-School and Extended Day Program. Typical hours are 2:30 - 5:30 pm on school days, with a part-time, in-person schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to positively manage student behavior and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Reliability and transportation.
• Comfort using attendance software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and ensure safety.
• Manage playground and student behavior.
• Follow safety procedures.
• Take attendance and coordinate enrichment vendors.
• Build relationships and communicate with students and parents.
