Job summary

WSB seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to provide strategic and operational leadership for Power Delivery, specializing in Substation Engineering and Protection & Control. The role leads managers and technical leaders across Substation, P&C, Studies, and DER, ensuring engineering quality and client delivery.

The ideal candidate is a PE with deep substation experience, strong judgment, and a track record of building high‑performing teams and scalable engineering standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive power delivery or electrical engineering experience, with substantial substation/P&C exposure.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Minimum 5+ years of leadership, managing managers, leads, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead Substation Engineering, P&C, Studies, and DER across multiple offices or project teams.
• Develop and mentor engineers, focusing on technical growth and succession planning.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruiting, retention, and performance management.
