Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Director of Student Health Services (SHS) to lead the SHS operations and co‑lead the Student Health & Wellbeing care clinic. The role reports to the Associate Provost for EISL and shapes the strategic vision for health services and student well‑being across MUSC.

The position requires senior leadership, clinical governance, and collaboration with campus partners to promote health, equity, and excellent patient care for MUSC students.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited graduate nursing or physician's assistant program with a Masters or Doctorate.
• Five+ years related experience in primary care or student health settings.
• Licensure as APRN or PA in applicable state.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for SHS operations and care delivery.
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with EISL leadership and campus partners.
• Lead quality improvement and health promotion initiatives.
• Represent SHS in university committees and strategic planning.
• Maintain high-quality patient care and student well-being.
