Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Medical Director of Student Health Services to lead system-level physician oversight for MUSC Health's statewide university partnerships. Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school with board certification in a primary care or related specialty.
• Active or eligible South Carolina licensure.
• Minimum of 5 years post-residency clinical leadership in student/college health or integrated care.

Responsibilities

• Strategic leadership: Develop statewide student health strategy and grow partnerships with higher education institutions.
• Clinical quality & oversight of primary care, reproductive/sexual health, behavioral health, and sports medicine services.
• Performance management: Monitor access, quality, and satisfaction metrics; report outcomes and improvements.
• Team leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop physicians, APPs, counselors, and allied health staff.
• Regulatory compliance & risk management: Ensure regulatory and accreditation standards are met; participate in audits.
