Job summary

East Stroudsburg University, a regional public university, seeks a Director of Student Accounts to oversee billing, collections, and compliance while leading a team to deliver accurate financial support to students and families.

Responsibilities include enhancing procedures, coordinating with Administration/Finance, and ensuring timely reporting. A strong background in budgeting, supervisory experience, and experience with major student information systems is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years experience in Student Accounts with extensive knowledge of Title IV cash management regulations and administering federal/state aid programs.
• Projections for 1-2 years for budgeting.
• Minimum of 3 years supervising staff in a highly controlled environment.
• Experience with Banner, PeopleSoft or another major student information system.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, Teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the collection of outstanding student balances and develop strategies to reduce receivables.
• Ensure federal, state, and other reporting requirements are timely and accurate.
• Develop and maintain a Student Accounts procedural manual for fiscal controls and compliance.
• Identify and implement more efficient processes in line with applicable standards.
• Create materials and conduct presentations to educate students on financial literacy.
• Manage the Accounts Receivable module of the student information system.
