About The Team

Our US Marketplace team is responsible for growing the DoorDash business in the US, helping customers to discover & order what’s best in their city, merchants to grow their sales, and dashers to find flexible work.

About The Role

The US Marketplace team is looking for a motivated and hands‑on operator to be the Director of Local Markets. As a Strategy & Operations Director, you’ll lead cross‑functional collaboration and drive marketplace growth in every U.S. market.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and develop low‑level detail analyses and execution rigor.
• Develop new growth partner relationships and top merchant relationships.
• Influence cross‑functional roadmaps, secure investment, and partner with other organizations to improve local user experience.
• Explore growth opportunities with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, and Operations teams.
• Shape strategy based on quantitative and qualitative data, query data directly, and use AI tools.
• Operate end‑to‑end solutions to move from A to B and deliver outcomes.
• Help the business improve by 1% continuously.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategy & operations or other operating roles; high‑growth startup experience is advantageous.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading cross‑functional projects and hitting goals.
• Comfortable running analysis, manipulating datasets; SQL required; AI tools preferred.
• Drive improvement and shape company direction.
• Motivate people at all levels.
• Translate high‑level goals into relevant plans.
• Attention to detail.

Compensation

Pay range: $197,200 – $290,000 USD, localized to work location. Includes base salary and equity grants.

Paid Time Off Details
