About The Team

The New Verticals team is building the future of local commerce by expanding our product offerings on our marketplace platform. We launched in 2020 and have since built world‑class operations to delight customers with access to Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail delivery through our marketplace. This team is externalizing these capabilities to help merchants improve their owned e‑commerce experiences outside of the DoorDash app.

About The Role

You will lead strategy and execution for a portfolio of new bets within our Merchant Services business. Some bets already exist, others are ideas and prototypes you will validate, stack rank, and drive to fruition. You will partner deeply with product, engineering, and design to develop a vision for the future of e‑commerce as well as the tactical steps to build solutions that get us there. The role reports to a Sr Director within the New Verticals organization and manages a team of direct & indirect reports. This is a hybrid role with a willingness to consider remote applicants and requires travel cross‑country 3–4 times per quarter.

What You’ll Do

• Build DoorDash’s next big business with high‑level strategy to nitty‑gritty operational details.
• Strategize from first principles to turn DoorDash into an indispensable partner for merchants' owned B2C and B2B e‑commerce experiences.
• Experiment by transforming strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes and feed back to the roadmap.
• Analyze the operational and financial impacts of decisions, balancing short‑ and long‑term trade‑offs.
• Lead and collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, marketing, design, product—and lead and develop your own pod to build.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing high‑performing teams and 10+ years overall managing experience.
• Experience building, managing, and going to market with B2B software products, including pricing, go‑to‑market, and sales into large and small enterprises.
• BS/BA degree; MBA is a plus.
• Solving problems from first principles and resisting “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
• Comfort operating at 10,000‑foot and 1‑foot levels, navigating both high‑level strategy and details.
• Unafraid of ambiguity and thrives in rapid change and learning environments.

Compensation

Base salary: $197,200—$290,000 USD (localized to work location). The role includes equity grant opportunities. Complete benefit details below.

Paid Time Off Details

• For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
• For hourly roles: vacation accrued roughly 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked; paid sick time accrued 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
