ROLE OVERVIEW:

Are you passionate about beer and operational excellence? Do terms like "strategy" and "efficiency" excite you? If so, we need your expertise to help us grow and optimize our operations at Hurray, a bold beverage brand based in Los Angeles.

We’re seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial leader to manage daily operations and build our infrastructure from the ground up in a fast-paced environment. The Director of Strategy & Operations will oversee production, sales, and business operations, focusing on scaling our presence in major retail chains. This role involves developing and executing operational strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability, and leading the operations and production teams long-term. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in scaling operations—preferably in food & beverage, consulting, or finance—and excels at building cross-functional teams and implementing systems. Success requires strong analytical skills, hands-on leadership, and seamless collaboration across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Production & supply chain management: Oversee planning, sourcing, and execution to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Manage raw materials and finished goods, build vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and optimize margins.
  • Business operations: Implement CRM and inventory tools, assist in talent acquisition, establish HR guidelines, ensure compliance with alcohol regulations, collaborate on budgeting, and manage merchandise channels and sampling programs.
  • Sales operations: Monitor AP/AR, coordinate with distributors, manage brand ambassador schedules, maintain stock levels, and develop processes to support distributor and retail operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer startup strategy, consulting, finance, supply chain, operations, or production
  • Management experience and ability to build an operations team
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience presenting at the executive level
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Los Angeles (hybrid role)
