Job Description:

Join the Chief Strategy Office (CSO), reporting to the VP of Strategy & Innovation. Collaborate with CSO team members to lead impactful, complex projects with high visibility. Responsibilities include gathering and organizing information on problems or procedures, analyzing data, developing solutions or alternative methods, and managing end-to-end project delivery. This encompasses structuring problems, scoping efforts, hypothesis-driven analysis, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations. Additionally, plan organizational change, communications, information flow, production methods, and conduct cost analysis. Work with executives, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of new procedures. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Vertex’s business, including its product portfolio and customer value proposition. Break down complex problems, structure and scope projects, create strategic frameworks and financial models comparable to leading consulting firms using specific software/tools, conduct primary and secondary research, perform rigorous data analysis, and develop presentations to communicate insights effectively. Support the creation of communications for CEO and Board of Directors, and stay informed on relevant market, regulatory, and technology trends.

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with five (5) years of experience in:
• Customer segmentation to identify distinct needs;
• Calculating Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM);
• Designing business models and pricing strategies aligned with customer expectations and monetization opportunities;
• Studying regulatory and technology trends to identify impacts and growth opportunities;
• Conducting competitive analysis to determine positioning and strategic advantages;
• Creating detailed financial and market models to project market size and growth potential.
