Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a Director of Strategic Vendor Management to lead the strategic oversight of the firm’s administrative vendor portfolio. You will own vendor budgets, performance, service delivery, and long‑term strategy, partnering with Legal, Finance, Technology, Privacy, and Security to maximize value.

The role requires a decade of vendor management experience in complex environments, with strong negotiation and executive‑level communication skills, and a proven ability to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Advanced degree a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in vendor management, procurement, outsourced services, operations, travel management, workplace services, hospitality, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading complex vendor relationships and enterprise‑wide initiatives.
• Experience within a law firm, professional‑services firm, financial‑services organization, or similarly complex environment preferred.
• Strong experience developing vendor strategies, governance frameworks, and operating models.
• Experience overseeing strategic vendor relationships, contract performance, and service‑delivery outcomes.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives involving Legal, Finance, Technology, Privacy, Security, and business stakeholders.
• Strong executive communication, negotiation, judgment, and relationship‑management skills.
• Experience implementing or overseeing vendor‑management technologies, workflows, or process‑improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Strategic oversight of the vendor portfolio and governance.
• Oversee vendor performance, scorecards, SLAs, and continuous improvement.
• Lead the Vendor Management Office and procurement governance.
• Manage travel program relationships and service delivery.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for vendor programs.
• Partner with Finance and business leaders on investments and cost optimization.
• Align vendor strategy with legal, risk, and business objectives.
