Job summary

tms (USA) located in Chicago seeks a Director, Technical Program Management to lead strategic technology programs. You will partner with business stakeholders, technology leaders, and delivery teams to turn ideas into measurable outcomes, without writing code.

Manage a portfolio of 10–20 concurrent programs with approximately 30M annual tech spend, across ERP, HR, cloud, data, and security domains. You will guide governance, reporting, and delivery maturity, building executive dashboards and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
15+ years of experience leading complex technology projects and programs, including 5+ years directly managing staff.
Experience delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives with multiple stakeholders, teams, and vendors.
Strong knowledge of PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Experience with executive reporting, dashboards, and KPIs.

Responsibilities

Coordinate end-to-end delivery of complex Corporate Technology programs and projects.
Partner with leadership on demand intake, portfolio prioritization, and roadmap sequencing.
Develop integrated program plans across multiple workstreams with budgets and resources.
Own budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting in collaboration with Finance.
Define requirements with architects, engineers, cybersecurity, data, and vendors.
Drive execution through all project lifecycle phases and manage risks and dependencies.
Lead cross-functional teams and governance meetings, escalating critical issues to leadership.
Establish program standards, governance, and reporting frameworks; optimize delivery maturity.
