Job summary

Toast, Inc. is seeking a Director of Procurement Strategy to own the forward agenda for Procure-to-Pay. You will define the multi-year roadmap, lead complex vendor negotiations, drive automation and AI across the P2P lifecycle, and serve as a senior partner to leaders on Toast’s purchasing and payment decisions.

You will lead a small team and collaborate with the day-to-day P2P leader. This is a mandate for meaningful change with a strong emphasis on strategy and stakeholder credibility.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated track record in procurement strategy and change management.
• Experience leading complex, high-value vendor negotiations.
• Ownership of transformation agendas end to end including business cases.
• Fluency with modern P2P technology and AI-enabled value creation.
• Exceptional ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year P2P strategy and transformation roadmap.
• Lead automation and AI initiatives to improve cycle time and cost.
• Negotiate with Toast's top-tier strategic vendors and manage relationships.
• Build and coach a direct report, and grow the function for future roadmap.
• Partner with senior leaders across Finance, IT, Legal, and Operations.
