Job summary

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc. seeks a Director of Construction (Remodels) to lead the company's remodel plan and related projects across U.S. stores, integrating with IS, RD, FAST, Operations, Asset Management, Leasing and Legal.

You will develop department strategies, implement process improvements and ensure budgets are met, while coaching managers and coordinating with contractors nationwide.

This role requires travel, flexibility, and a focus on delivering quality customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of construction project management experience, retail/hospitality preferred.
• Completion of initial and periodic trainings.
• Valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Remodels, store refresh projects, and equipment/tech implementation across stores; create budgets and manage within them.
• Develops department support functions and integrates remodels with other departments.
• Coaches and develops staff; works with VP and Directors on hiring and retention.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate, and contract with General Contractors and vendors nationwide (US & Canada).
• Develops department strategies, policies, and process improvements; ensures adherence to budgets (R&M, CAP, Remodel).
• Monitors GC performance to meet quality, time, and cost targets; uses Tango and Service Channel for project cost tracking.
• Supports Risk Management and ADA compliance; responds to facility emergencies.
• Collaborates with new Construction on specs and standards for store construction, maintenance, equipment.
