Director, Solutions Engineering, East (Remote, East Coast)

United States (Remote)

As the Director, Solutions Engineering, East for Grafana Labs, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing team of Solution Engineers. You will embody the organization’s culture and promote strong partnership and collaboration across AE and SE roles. Your goal is to grow the East SE organization to 25+ SEs and prepare for scaling across multiple products, industries, segments, and GTM motions.

Paired with 2 Sales VPs, 8 Sales RDs, 3 SE Managers, 45+ AEs, and 20+ SEs, you will help develop repeatable processes, playbooks, job architectures, enablement programs, and other initiatives to achieve scale and increase win rates. You are expected to be a thought leader both internally and externally, ensuring field feedback influences product and GTM strategies. An ideal candidate is someone actively involved in driving opportunities alongside the VP of Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in second-line SE leadership.
2. Experience scaling teams to over 30 employees.
3. Proven success in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
4. Experience with open source, developer-centric GTM motions, or observability.
5. Extensive experience with complex enterprise sales.
6. Ideally located in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., or Atlanta.

In the US, the OTE compensation range for this role is $280,000 - $345,000, with actual compensation varying based on experience and skills. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other listed perks.
