Job summary

Crow Holdings Renewables seeks a Director for Distributed Generation Solar and Storage Development. Illinois or DC-based candidates preferred; travel required. The role leads permitting, interconnection, and development activities with a focus on Illinois and secondary emphasis on MD, NJ and PA.

Autonomy is key; you’ll shape development strategy and partner with CHR’s development team to deliver projects from early concept through NTP, coordinating with landowners, utilities, and municipalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years community or utility-scale solar development and/or energy storage development with demonstrated track record of bringing projects to NTP.
• 1–2 years Financial Modeling experience strongly preferred.
• Dynamic and resourceful with ability to learn new processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with real estate, permitting, transmission & interconnection, engineering, construction, legal and finance teams to advance due diligence and deliverables.
• Navigate interconnection processes with utilities and track milestones, dates, and fees.
• Secure land use permits and other pre-construction approvals from local, regional and state agencies.
• Prepare projects for construction in coordination with CHR operations.
• Drive project schedules, budgets and risk from development through notice to proceed.
