Job summary

A leading renewable energy developer is seeking a Director of Development to lead the strategy for a community solar portfolio in Illinois and the Mid-Atlantic markets. This full-time remote role requires over 4 years of experience in renewable energy development, with mentorship experience preferred. Responsibilities include overseeing project origination and managing regulatory documents. Competitive salary range is $150,000 to $175,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in renewable energy development, preferably within community solar or distributed renewables.
• Proven experience in mentorship or management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project development and origination activities for community solar.
• Provide support for the review of all projects being acquired and/or sold.
• Lead origination strategy to obtain site control.
• Manage and oversee the creation and submission of permitting documents.
• Manage third-party consultants and contractors.
• Attend community events to discuss solar with stakeholders.
• Complete title curative items for project finance requirements.
• Organize and maintain files, budgets, and project records.
