Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, software engineering, information systems, or related field.
• 7+ years in software engineering, technical leadership, or related roles in large-scale organizations.
• 5+ years managing teams of engineers or technical contributors.
• Experience with enterprise software platforms, cloud-native architectures, and custom application delivery.
• Shaping and delivering software engineering vision with Agile methodologies and governance.
• Strong leadership and collaboration across stakeholders; excellent communication.
• Understanding of enterprise architecture, analytics, compliance, and risk management incl. HIPAA/HITECH/GDPR.
• Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and ServiceNow; awareness of AI-driven trends.

Job Duties

• In collaboration with enterprise stakeholders, lead discovery, definition, and execution of software engineering vision and strategy for digital platforms and solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers, engineering managers, and related contributors to support scalable delivery and operational maturity
• Partner closely with UX/UI, product management, other IT teams, clinical and operational leaders, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive, compliant, and optimized end-to-end digital experiences.
• Oversee software solution performance, including governance, compliance, analytics, and risk management, to generate actionable insights and validate strategic decisions.
• Shared accountability for software architecture, integrations, security, and reliability of digital solutions across multiple platforms, with clear metrics for success.
• Influence decision-making through compelling storytelling-presenting engineering rationale, demos, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations to executives and internal stakeholders and partners.
• Guide and govern the creation of engineering roadmaps, requirements, and release plans, ensuring quality, business alignment, and measurable experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field..
• 7 years in software engineering, technical leadership, or related roles within large-scale, complex organizations and
• 5 years managing teams of software engineers, engineering managers, or technical contributors and
• Experience with enterprise software platforms, cloud-native architectures, and custom application delivery.
• Demonstrated experience shaping and delivering software engineering vision, with expert knowledge of development methodologies, Agile practices, and platform governance.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage and scale engineering teams, with excellent communication and collaboration across stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of enterprise architecture, analytics, compliance, and risk management, including security, privacy, and regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR).
• Proficiency with modern engineering tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, GitHub, ServiceNow) and awareness of emerging trends such as AI-driven solutions and innovation practices.
• Proven ability to deliver complex software solutions, influence technical strategy, and drive automation adoption in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10 years in enterprise software engineering, portfolio-level planning, and governance. and
• Experience in healthcare, higher education, or large-scale digital transformation initiatives. and
• Proven track record of leading teams in highly regulated environments
• Strong collaboration across engineering, product, UX/UI, IT, and marketing disciplines, with ability to promote engineering-centric thinking and balance strategic vision, user needs, and technical feasibility.
• Proven experience governing scalable software engineering systems, influencing leadership strategy, and anticipating industry shifts (AI, personalization, compliance) to keep solutions future-ready.
• Healthcare digital and IT experience, preferably in regulated environments.
