Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams.
Experience with modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods.
Cloud-first development and microservice architectures or strategies.
Experience using AI tools to improve development efficiency and delivery accuracy.
Experience with .NET, SQL, Angular, Oracle, React, etc.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
Experience applying agile methodologies and measurable software quality improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead software development teams to deliver high-quality, on-time software solutions.
Partner with Product Owners and Agile Delivery to align roadmaps with business goals.
Develop and implement software development strategies, KPIs, and governance.
Mentor managers and build a culture of accountability, growth, and performance.
Stay current with modern tech trends including AI to drive innovation.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, and PMO to optimize delivery.
Communicate progress to stakeholders across technical and business teams.
Ensure compliance and security practices are upheld across projects.

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Director, Software Development to join our team! The Director, Software Development will lead software development and deliver quality results for our organization. The Director, Software Development is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction for the software development team, which is evolving legacy applications into modern, supportable applications. This leader will be proficient in Agile practices as they will be collaborating to achieve an outstanding customer experience, resulting in positive, on-time and within budget organizational outcomes. Responsibilities

Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results.
Foster a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring.
Collaborate with Product Owners and leaders from Agile Delivery, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure and the Navitus Enterprise Project Management Office.
Build strong relationships with the application business owners to deliver software that meets our internal and external customers’ needs.
Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development.
Develop and maintain an accountable department that delivers high-quality code.
Stay current with modern software development technology, including Artificial Intelligence, to establish and evolve the software development strategy.
Establish and deliver KPI’s and metrics for managing and reporting performance.
Communicate the progress and status of all development teams to a diverse set of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience with projects requiring the development of advanced automation testing frameworks and various performance testing methodologies.
Experience managing measurable success in delivering quality software that meets the business needs using agile methodologies.
Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
