Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a seasoned coach-leader at Mammoth Mountain to establish program philosophy, direct budgeting, and build a strong staff. You will hire, train, and evaluate personnel to drive performance and ensure excellent ski programs for all ages and abilities.

The role requires demonstrated coaching and management experience, familiarity with USSA procedures, and relevant certifications or equivalents. Location is Mammoth Mountain, CA, within Alterra Resorts.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years coaching experience at all age and ability levels preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a supervisory/management role.
• Knowledge of USSA, Western Region, FWSC procedures.
• USSCA National certification or equivalent.
• High School graduate or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish program structure, philosophy, and direction.
• Design and control budget.
• Design staff template and hire people, train, observe and evaluate them, then guide them to improved performance.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

College degree preferred

Coaching experience (5+ years)

Supervisory/management experience (3+ years)

Knowledge of USSA, Western Region, FWSC procedures

USSCA National certification or equivalent
