Job summary

Vertafore is seeking a Director of Site Reliability Engineering to lead reliability, performance, and observability across a portfolio of products. This role owns SLIs/SLOs, incident response, automation, and CI/CD practices, coordinating with Product Development, Architecture, Cloud Operations, and Security.

You will manage multiple teams of managers and engineers, bridging development and operations with a software engineering mindset and owning service lifecycles end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability, performance, and observability initiatives for a portfolio of Vertafore products.
• Define and enforce SLIs/SLOs for a subset of flagship products.
• Drive observability strategy across application and infrastructure layers.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and reduce toil through automation and AI tools.
• Define and participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and blameless postmortems.
• Partner with Cloud Ops on capacity planning, OS patching, and load balancing.
