Job summary

Archetype seeks a Director of Project Management to lead our signage projects, ensuring compliance, budget control, and exceptional client satisfaction across the full project lifecycle.

You will mentor and develop a team of Project Managers, drive standardized processes, coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, and oversee budgeting, billing, and quality assurance to deliver on-time, on-budget results.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, PM, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in signage (required).
• 2+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of signage fabrication, installation, permitting, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AIA payment applications, progress billing, certified payroll, bonds, CIP, and IC-134 reporting.
• Experience creating and delivering training content for teams and new hires.
• Proficiency with project management tools/software.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers across technical and client-facing aspects.
• Foster a consultative, solutions-focused culture and drive professional growth.
• Develop training materials, onboarding guides, and reference resources.
• Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and team training in compliance, billing, timelines, and budgeting.
• Oversee recruitment process from reviewing applications to interviewing and selection.
• Monitor full lifecycle of signage projects from quote to cash, including production design, permitting, fabrication and installation.
• Implement and maintain PM best practices, tools, and processes.
• Provide direct support on complex or escalated projects.
• Ensure all project details, documentation, and approvals are complete and accurate.
