Job summary

Archetype in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead the PM team, oversee signage projects from quote to cash, and ensure compliant, on-time delivery with exceptional client satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, deep signage knowledge, and hands-on experience with AIA applications, progress billing, and regulatory reporting. A strategic partner to sales, production, and design teams, you will drive process improvements and staff development.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, PM, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in the signage industry.
• 2+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Strong knowledge of signage fabrication, installation, permitting, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AIA payment applications, progress billing, certified payroll, bonds, CIP, and IC-134 reporting.
• Experience creating and delivering training content for teams and new hires.
• Proficiency with project management tools/software.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers, building capabilities in technical and client-facing aspects of project delivery.
• Foster a consultative, solutions-focused culture emphasizing continuous improvement and growth.
• Develop training materials, onboarding guides, and reference resources.
• Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews, and team training in compliance, billing, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage recruitment from reviewing applications to interviews and selections.
• Monitor full lifecycle (quote to cash) of signage projects, including production design, permitting, fabrication, and installation.
• Implement and maintain project management best practices, tools, and processes.
• Provide direct support on complex or escalated projects.
• Ensure all project details, documentation, and approvals are complete before advancing.
• Create and oversee kick-off meetings and recurring project meetings.
• Develop expert-level proficiency in our software to manage projects and reporting.
• Be proactive through the project timeline.
