Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Commercial Sourcing and Procurement to lead SG&A sourcing across Commercial, IT, and professional services in North America. Based in San Diego, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Princeton, NJ, you will drive strategic vendor relationships and savings initiatives.

You will partner with executives to align procurement with business goals, manage large vendor spend, and implement governance frameworks leveraging Coupa/Agiloft and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Leadership managing large vendor spend portfolios and global collaboration.
• Proven success building/executing SG&A category strategies in complex environments.
• 12+ years sourcing experience; deep vendor knowledge (advertising agency, media, data analytics, meetings/events).
• Negotiation and benchmarking across IT contract types (SaaS, consulting, managed services).
• Plus: consulting/legal services category sourcing.
• Proficient with S2P (Coupa), CLM (Agiloft), and AI sourcing tools.
• Knowledge of savings reporting and tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
• BS/BA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop immediate and long-term SG&A sourcing strategies for Commercial, IT, and professional services.
• Partner with business stakeholders (including senior executives) to identify sourcing needs and align strategies to business goals.
• Assess, benchmark, negotiate, and execute key SG&A vendor contracts; perform gap analysis.
• Partner with Finance FP&A on vendor cost budgeting, forecasting, and savings validation.
• Monitor industry trends and procurement technology (including AI) to automate sourcing processes.
• Establish SG&A vendor governance: optimization, risk assessment, and operational performance evaluation.
