We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to guide the growth of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology across our academic and community practices.

This role bridges strategic planning, business development, and operational execution. You’ll partner with physicians, academic leaders, hospital executives, and Medical Group leadership to assess market opportunities, develop business plans, expand clinical services, and improve patient access. We’re looking for someone who understands how health systems work and brings demonstrated experience turning growth opportunities into actionable plans and measurable results.

If you enjoy building programs, shaping strategy, and working across a complex healthcare organization to bring ideas to life, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As the Director, you will translate the strategic vision for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Dermatology into coordinated growth initiatives across the health system. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing strategic plans and market share growth strategies using internal performance data, market analysis, referral trends, and community needs.
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities to expand reconstructive surgery, dermatology, and aesthetics services across academic and community practices.
  • Building business plans that assess financial feasibility, resource needs, physician capacity, and implementation priorities.
  • Partnering with physician leaders, department chairs, hospital executives, and Medical Group leadership to execute system-wide business development initiatives.
  • Working with operational leaders to turn strategic plans into implementation milestones, performance measures, and sustainable clinical programs.
  • Supporting physician recruitment and faculty development in alignment with service line growth priorities.
  • Collaborating on annual operating budgets and financial reporting to ensure resources support strategic objectives.
  • Building partnerships across academic and community practices to support coordinated services, quality, outcomes, education, and research.
  • Collaborating with Managed Care, Population Health, Value-Based Care, and Employee Health Plan leaders to improve access and strengthen the clinical network’s position in the marketplace.
  • Supporting physician engagement, patient experience, accreditation, designation, and national ranking initiatives.
This Role Might Be For You If…
  • You have worked within a health system and understand how hospitals, medical groups, academic departments, and physician practices collaborate.
  • You bring experience in strategic planning, business development, healthcare finance, or service line development.
  • You enjoy using market and financial data to identify growth opportunities and build a compelling business case.
  • You can describe a strategy or business plan you helped develop, your role in its implementation, and the results.
  • You enjoy partnering with physicians and executive leaders to build consensus and advance shared priorities.
  • You can connect long-term growth goals with the practical steps, resources, and partnerships needed to achieve them.
  • You are comfortable navigating competing priorities and financially or organizationally sensitive decisions.
  • You are ready to bring your experience into a visible leadership role that shapes the future of specialty care.
Qualified Candidates Will Possess
  • A master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in strategic planning, business development, project management, healthcare finance, and/or healthcare management.
  • Demonstrated experience developing strategic plans, business cases, market assessments, or clinical growth initiatives.
  • Experience within a health system or similarly complex healthcare organization; academic medical center experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including business planning, budgeting, financial reporting, profit-and-loss analysis, reimbursement analysis, and evaluation of business trends.
  • Experience collaborating with physicians, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • The ability to translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives and work with operational partners to deliver measurable results.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, consensus‑building, and executive presentation skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and balance the needs of academic faculty and community‑based physicians.
