Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a senior hardware leader to guide a multi-disciplinary team and drive product architecture for a rapidly expanding global market.

You will work with Product Management to translate market needs into specs, coordinate with firmware, software, systems, QA, supply chain, and operations, and collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturing excellence in harsh environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hardware product development and leadership experience.
• Global team leadership experience (Brazil & India) and releasing high-volume industrial hardware.
• Fluency in multiple domains: Electrical/PCB Design, Firmware/Embedded Control, or Mechanical Integration.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, embedded hardware, packaging, and communications.
• Familiarity with reliability engineering and environmental validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Scale and mentor a multi-disciplinary hardware group (EE, ME, Power Electronics) for a rapidly expanding global market.
• Drive DFM/DFT standards to enable scalable production with high reliability in harsh environments.
• Own system-level hardware architecture and align with product strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Management to translate market needs into technical specs.
• Coordinate with Firmware, Software, Systems Engineering, QA, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Engage with suppliers and contract manufacturers to ensure design quality and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related education
• Guarantee compliance with global certification standards (UL/IEC, EMC/EMI, FCC, CE, etc.)
• 10+ years of experience in hardware product development and leadership managing various engineering teams
• Deep technical fluency in at least two of the following: Electrical/PCB Design, Firmware/Embedded Control, or Mechanical Integration (Injection molding/stamping)
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, embedded hardware, electronics packaging, communications, & mechanical integration
• Experience managing global teams (Brazil & India)
• Previous track record of releasing high-volume industrial hardware products
• Familiarity with reliability engineering and environmental validation processes
