Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior or Director-level HEOR Modeling & Evidence Synthesis expert to lead health economic modeling and systematic reviews to support Axsome’s CNS product portfolio.

You will develop, validate, and communicate complex decision-analytic models, lead network meta-analyses, advise cross-functional stakeholders, and establish modeling standards while mentoring colleagues. On-site in New York City three days a week.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/DrPH in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field.
• 10+ years supporting biopharmaceuticals with health economic modeling, evidence synthesis and systematic reviews.
• Demonstrated leadership in complex modeling projects.
• Proficiency in Excel, R and other simulation tools; understanding of ICER and payer evidence.

Role: Senior or Director-level HEOR Modeling & Evidence Synthesis expert leading health economic modeling and systematic literature reviews to support Axsome’s CNS product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• develop, validate, and communicate complex decision-analytic models—including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and disease progression models for marketed and pipeline assets across rare and prevalent CNS conditions;
• lead systematic reviews, indirect treatment comparisons, and network meta-analyses;
• advise cross-functional stakeholders on evidence strategies and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences;
• establish modeling standards and mentor colleagues;

Requirements

• PhD/MD/DrPH or similar in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field;
• 10+ years supporting biopharmaceuticals with extensive experience in health economic modeling, evidence synthesis, and systematic reviews;
• demonstrated leadership in complex modeling projects;
• proficiency in Excel, R, and other simulation tools;
• deep knowledge of clinical, epidemiologic, and economic inputs;
• experience with ICER assessments, payer evidence requirements, and lifecycle management;

High Value

• CNS indications, including major depressive disorder, dementia-related agitation, narcolepsy, migraine;
• experience with rare/prevalent conditions, long-term care, and US reimbursement landscape;
• hands-on expertise with systematic reviews, network meta-analyses, and modeling validation;
• on-site in New York City (3 days/week), no remote option;

Collaborates with HEOR, Medical Strategy, Market Access, and publications teams.
