Job description

Job Summary:

The Director of Security oversees the safety and security of the physical environment and all individuals associated with the hospital. This includes deterring crime on hospital property, protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and managing traffic and parking. The incumbent also manages the LaVan and Employee Shuttle services. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Specifications:

1. BA/BS degree in a law enforcement-related program, a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (equivalent to four years of college).
2. Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in security, law enforcement, military, or healthcare is preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities are required.
3. Valid Rhode Island driver's license and schedule flexibility for 24-hour emergency call are required.
4. Proficiency in English is required.
