Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. seeks a Director of Technology Infrastructure Architecture to lead the new TIA function, embedding security into enterprise infrastructure projects from design through deployment.

You will partner with senior IT leadership and engineering to set architecture strategy across cloud, on-premise, and endpoints, champion secure-by-design and automation, and manage budget and vendor relationships while mentoring a team of architects and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years in Network Engineering, Enterprise Security, or Systems Architecture with leadership experience.
• Strong executive communication skills and hands-on technical capability.
• Advanced knowledge in infrastructure and security architecture, enterprise networking, and IT budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Builds and leads the Technology Infrastructure Architecture (TIA) function as a new team, ensuring security is integrated into enterprise infrastructure projects from design to delivery.
• Long-range secure infrastructure architecture strategy across cloud, on-premise, and endpoint environments.
• Acts as the face of the TIA team to the business and liaises with senior IT leadership and engineering teams.
• Owns budget planning and management for the TIA team, including capital and operating forecasts.
