Job summary

Daktronics is seeking a visionary Director of Software Portfolio Strategy to shape the future of our software business and lead platform strategy across software, control systems, and SaaS offerings. You will drive portfolio direction, roadmaps, and investment priorities to accelerate growth and build scalable platforms that deliver customer value.

Qualifications

BS degree required, preferably in Engineering or Business.
10–15+ years of experience in software strategy or portfolio leadership.
Experience with SaaS transitions or recurring revenue models.
Multi-product software portfolios and platform-based architectures.
Understanding of SaaS and cloud transformation; platform strategy and shared services.

Responsibilities

Define software portfolio vision and roadmap.
Prioritize products, platforms, and partnerships for growth.
Define the cloud platform strategy and shared services for SaaS growth.
Define cloud-edge strategy for scale and resilience.
Turn customer and market insight into strategy; shape roadmaps with Product Management.
Influence SaaS packaging, pricing, and growth strategy.
Lead portfolio governance and investment prioritization.
Lead cross-functional alignment across key teams.
