Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska is seeking a Director of Behavioral Health Preventative Services to lead planning, coordination and oversight of prevention programs across village and hospital services.

The role supervises the Sobering Center and SBIRIT Coordinators, manages grants, ensures reporting to state agencies, HIPAA compliance, and data-driven program improvement while partnering with local communities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology preferred with a specialty in Mental Health and preventative programs.
• Undergraduate degree, social work, psychology, rural human services.
• Two years supervisory experience in behavioral health or direct services.
• Alaska licensure required or must obtain within 2 years of hire.
• Yupi’k speaker preferred.
• Experience in cross-cultural setting, preferably with Alaska Native cultures.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and coordinates prevention activities across village and hospital services.
• Supervises the Sobering Center and SBIRIT Coordinators and manages grants.
• Maintains knowledge of reporting requirements to the State of Alaska and others.
• Oversees case management and ensures clients receive appropriate services.
• Participates in clinical meetings and trainings; promotes collaboration with community agencies.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and confidentiality; supports quality improvement initiatives.
• Analyzes program data to determine effectiveness and outcomes; supports timely roll-out.
