Job summary

Honor is seeking a Director of Risk & Compliance Operations to transform compliance across the platform. Reporting to the VP of Trust & Safety, you will lead a team of 5–10 and set the strategic direction to scale compliance as Honor grows.

You will partner with Product and Engineering to build tech-enabled solutions, drive regulatory readiness, and develop operational dashboards for senior leadership. The role requires 8–10 years in tech-enabled compliance/operations and strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in operations, product operations, or compliance roles within a technology-first or high-growth company.
• Experience working at the intersection of technology and operations with Product and Engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Track record of developing functional areas for scale—building systems, processes, and team structures to enable growth.
• Exceptional analytical skills with large, complex data sets; proficiency with data visualization tools and operational KPIs.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated people management experience, including building high-performing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including distilling regulatory or operational topics for senior leadership.
• Preferred: experience with employment law compliance, home care or healthcare regulation, state licensing, or multi-state regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for the Compliance Operations function and define how compliance is managed across employment law and licensing as we grow.
• Continuously assess for compliance risk and opportunities to simplify or reduce operational friction.
• Own day-to-day compliance execution across all markets and build durable systems to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to build tech-first, automated compliance solutions and drive investment feasibility.
• Lead state licensing audits and audit-readiness programs end to end across internal and field partner teams.
• Ensure operational readiness for new markets and service offerings.
• Translate regulatory changes into actionable operational requirements and ensure they become executable protocols.
• Build and develop a high-performing team of 5–10 professionals and establish a culture of accountability.
• Develop and own key compliance metrics and dashboards for senior leadership visibility.
