This on-site role focuses on billing, claims management, denials, AR performance, and compliance, coordinating across finance, patient access, HIM, IT, and clinical teams. The candidate will develop policies, monitor KPIs, and optimize cash flow while aligning with Frederick Health's mission and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Minimum of five years in hospital revenue cycle, patient financial services, or related hospital billing operations.
• Minimum of three years of progressive leadership in revenue cycle, billing, or patient financial services.
• Experience with hospital billing regulations, payer reimbursement, denial management, and AR oversight.
• Master's degree preferred; professional certification such as CRCE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational leadership for hospital patient financial services, including billing, claims submission, payment posting, AR follow-up, collections, denial management, and related reimbursement functions.
• Develops and maintains standardized policies, controls, and workflows for accurate billing and compliant practices.
• Monitors key metrics (A/R days, denial rates, cash collections, aging) and drives improvement actions.
• Leads denial prevention and recovery efforts by addressing root causes and coordinating cross-department changes.
• Partners with finance and clinical teams to improve charge capture, documentation, and end-to-end revenue cycle performance.
• Oversees vendor relationships, performance management, and contract-related coordination.
• Supports audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory requirements across revenue cycle operations.
