Job summary

Frederick Health is seeking a Patient Financial Services Representative for a full-time dayshift, Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm.

The role ensures accurate patient charges, proper insurance authorizations, and timely submission to payers, with a focus on reducing denials and improving cash flow.

You'll work with payers and departments across the business office, document interactions, and maintain HIPAA compliance while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience in hospital or physician billing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Examine denied and underpaid claims to determine reasons for discrepancies.
• Follow up with payers to resolve outstanding claims and achieve timely reimbursement.
• Document all payer interactions and maintain accurate payer files.
• Identify root causes of denials and support improvement strategies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance when handling patient information.
