Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia is seeking an experienced Director of Business Office to oversee financial counselling, billing and collections across service lines in a psychiatric hospital setting. The role emphasizes staff management, cash-flow optimization and compliance with payer requirements.

Requirements include a bachelor’s in business administration or related field, five+ years’ experience, and three+ years in supervision. Missouri location with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Five or more years’ job-related experience; preferably in behavioral health.
• Three or more years’ supervisory experience required.
• Strong revenue cycle technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on key metrics such as cash collections and denials in conjunction with CFO.
• Establish controls for all cash collected and posted in patient accounting system.
• Communicate with third-party insurers to resolve cash-flow issues.
• Provide staff management including hiring, development and performance management.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with third-party guidelines.
• Oversee vendor relationships for collection of facility receivables.
• Lead operations for all business-office activities related to claims management and collections.
• Support department goals and monitor trends to implement improvements.
