Job summary

The Director of Residential Services is responsible for the overall management and supervision of the residential substance use treatment program in Secaucus, NJ. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Licensure/certification options listed (LCADC preferred; CCS; CADC with supervisory experience; or clinical license).
• Experience supervising clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Ability to ensure regulatory compliance and audits.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills for regulatory needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the residential program and staffing across shifts.
• Supervise clinical and non-clinical staff including counselors and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with licensing standards, regulations, and audits.
• Monitor client care, documentation, and service delivery for quality.
• Coordinate with medical, clinical, and administrative teams for continuity of care.
• Address incidents, grievances, and crises promptly and professionally.
• Participate in hiring, training, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure completion of regulatory and funding reports.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients.
• Collaborate with external agencies, referral sources, and stakeholders as needed.
