Job summary

The Jewish Board seeks a Director to provide administrative and clinical supervision across Adult and Family Residential programs in New York. Responsibilities include ensuring regulatory compliance, budgeting, staffing, and program development.

The role requires on‑call availability, cross‑functional collaboration, and leadership of a diverse team. We emphasize trauma‑informed care, high standards of quality, and a commitment to safe housing for residents.

Qualifications

• LCSW, MSW, or other clinical qualification preferred; MPA, MPH, or related degree will be considered.
• At least two years of supervisory experience in residential services or related human services programs.
• Substantial experience working with seriously mentally ill population.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Understanding of co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse addiction.
• Compassion and respect for vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall administrative oversight for assigned programs.
• Maintains census for programs and oversees program intake and discharge activities.
• Ensures that all deliverables from Jewish Board and OMH are met.
• Ensures compliance with internal Jewish Board policies and procedures.
• Maintains adherence to program budgets and maintains programs’ fiscal viability.
