Job description

Weichert Companies is hiring a Director, Relocation and Broker Network at the corporate office in New Jersey. The Director, Relocation and Broker Network leads two interconnected functions: Weichert, Realtors' incoming and outgoing relocation referral operations and the Preferred Broker Network that extends service coverage across the United States. The role aligns referral placement, agent and broker performance, service standards, training, and relationship management to deliver consistent client experience and measurable business growth. Working closely with Weichert Workforce Mobility internal leadership, Weichert, Realtors Branch Vice Presidents and Sales Associates, relocation companies, and network brokers, the Director ensures that both functions operate as a coordinated service-delivery model.

The Director, Relocation and Broker Network leads Weichert, Realtors' relocation function and oversees incoming and outgoing referral business from assignment through completion. The role ensures that referrals are placed strategically, service standards are met, agents are trained and held accountable, and relocation partnerships contribute to measurable growth. The Director collaborates with relocation companies, internal leadership, Branch Vice Presidents, and Sales Associates to improve conversion, client experience, and overall program performance.

The Director also leads the Weichert Broker Network (WBN), cultivating and managing relationships with selected brokers that provide relocation coverage in markets served by Weichert Workforce Mobility. Through broker selection, coaching, training, performance management, and service-issue resolution, the Director ensures that network members meet established requirements and deliver a consistent customer experience. Internally, the Director works closely with Weichert Workforce Mobility Client Experience and Client Relations colleagues to align broker performance with client and program needs.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Relocation Operations & Performance
  • Manages all incoming and outgoing relocation referrals, strategically matching each referral with an agent based on market expertise, performance, capacity, and client needs rather than availability alone.
  • Oversees and coaches Referral Coordinators to ensure service levels, response times, and conversion standards are met.
  • Tracks and analyzes performance metrics (conversion rates, response times, customer experience) and takes corrective action when needed.
  • Ensures compliance with relocation policies, accreditation standards, and service-level agreements.
Agent Development & Accountability
  • Onboards, trains, and coaches agents on relocation processes and best practices.
  • Holds agents accountable for performance expectations and customer experience standards.
  • Supports Sales Managers in identifying, developing, and, when necessary, removing agents from relocation programs.
Business Development & Relationship Management
  • Builds and sustains relationships with relocation management companies, corporate partners, Weichert Workforce Mobility, and WBN member firms to expand referral opportunities, strengthen market coverage, and improve service delivery.
  • Represents Weichert at relocation forums, conferences, and industry events to strengthen strategic relationships, identify market opportunities, and support business development initiatives.
  • Collaborates on sales strategies and modifies relocation programs for corporate, healthcare, and academic organizations, aligning program design with prospective client needs.
Broker Network
  • Identifies and vets prospective brokers to handle relocation leads in markets network coverage is insufficient.
  • Onboards, trains and manages the relationships with brokers to ensure understanding of referral processes, technology requirements, service standards, and customer experience expectations.
  • Researches, interviews, selects, and manages real estate firms for current or prospective membership in the WBN across the United States.
  • Ensures WBN member firms participate in required accreditation and training programs that strengthen the performance of agents assigned to Weichert Workforce Mobility referrals.
  • Gathers, analyzes and communicates geographic market intelligence as needed, with particular focus on new markets where clients are relocating employees into or out of the area.
  • Provides ongoing training to internal colleagues on company protocols for engaging Weichert offices and WBN member firms.
  • Partners with WBN member firms and internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve service issues and referral disputes promptly and consistently.
  • Manages the ongoing performance-review process for WBN member firms, including service-quality monitoring, corrective-action planning, and decisions regarding continued network participation.
Strategic Leadership
  • Anticipates operational challenges, market trends, and growth opportunities across the relocation program, and develops plans to address them.
  • Synthesizes market intelligence, client feedback, and performance data to guide strategy, prioritize improvements, and strengthen program results.
  • Leads growth initiatives that expand referral volume, improve conversion, strengthen broker-network coverage, and enhance client value.

* Performs additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Active real estate license in good standing required
  • Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) or Senior Certified Relocation Professional (SCRP) designation preferred
  • Valid driver's license

  • Prior relocation leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Confident presenter and facilitator (one-on-one and group settings)
