POSITION: Director, Reinsurance Accounting

WORK STRUCTURE: Remote | U.S.-based candidates

A growing property & casualty insurance carrier is looking to hire a Director of Reinsurance Accounting to lead reinsurance financial operations and drive key initiatives across their reinsurance programs (XOL, quota share, facultative, retrocession).

The position is offering the opportunity to step into a critical, high-visibility role with long-term stability and strong executive backing. The role reports directly into the Chief Accounting Officer.

KEY FOCUS AREA:

• Oversight of all reinsurance accounting & financial reporting
• Ownership of Schedule F and related statutory/GAAP filings
• Partnering cross-functionally with actuarial, underwriting, legal, and external reinsurers
• Leading and mentoring a small but impactful team
• Driving process improvements and automation

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

• 8+ years of insurance/reinsurance accounting experience (P&C focus)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/statutory standards (ASC 944, SSAP 62R)
• Experience with Schedule F and NAIC reporting
• Leadership experience and a hands-on, detail-oriented approach
