We are seeking an experienced Senior Reinsurance Manager to support our Director of Reinsurance in coordinating program-specific outwards reinsurance placements. This role will focus on analyzing, structuring, and negotiating reinsurance arrangements that support our delegated underwriting authority business model while ensuring compliance with Hadron's counterparty risk guidelines.

Core Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and execution of outwards reinsurance placements for Hadron's program business
- Analyze program-specific reinsurance needs based on business plans, underwriting guidelines, and risk appetite
- Prepare submission materials and data for reinsurance brokers and markets
- Evaluate proposed reinsurance structures and terms for alignment with program and risk transfer objectives
- Asses proposed reinsurance partners on an individual and program basis to ensure compliance with counterparty risk guidelines
- Track and maintain records of all reinsurance arrangements and their key provisions
- Facilitate the review, approval, and signing of final reinsurance contracts and trust agreements
Technical Analysis
- Review and analyze reinsurance contracts including Facultative Certificates, Treaties, and Quota Share agreements
- Understand and interpret Firm Order Terms (FOTs), exclusions, and key terms of each reinsurance contract
- Evaluate the economic impact of proposed reinsurance arrangements on program profitability
- Assess collateral needs for various reinsurance partners, by program, ensuring compliance with collateral guidelines and matrix
- Analyze reinsurance market conditions and trends to identify opportunities for improved terms
- Serve as a key liaison between Hadron and reinsurance brokers for program-specific placements
- Communicate program-specific requirements and objectives to brokers
- Collaborate with brokers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions
- Ensure timely and accurate information flow between Hadron, brokers, and reinsurance markets
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key broker partners
Internal Coordination
- Work closely with underwriting teams to understand program nuances and requirements
- Collaborate with finance and legal to review and approve reinsurance contract documents
- Maintain detailed spreadsheets and workbooks to facilitate seamless onboarding of reinsurance programs with various departments
- Support actuarial in data analysis and exposure modeling for reinsurance purposes
- Assist with compliance reporting related to reinsurance arrangements
- Provide regular updates on reinsurance placements to senior management
- Monitor reinsurance market conditions, capacity, and pricing trends
- Research and analyze potential new reinsurance partners
- Evaluate reinsurer financial strength and compliance with Hadron's counterparty risk guidelines
- Stay current on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting reinsurance
- Contribute to strategic discussions regarding reinsurance market opportunities and challenges
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in reinsurance, with expertise in treaty reinsurance structures for various lines of business
- Background in reinsurance broking, treaty underwriting, or ceded reinsurance management
- Experience with program business and delegated authority models
- Strong understanding of reinsurance contract provisions and legal terminology
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and structure reinsurance arrangements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, Risk Management or related field
Technical Skills
- Proficient understanding of reinsurance structures (Quota Share, Excess of Loss, Facultative)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate financial impacts of reinsurance structures
- Knowledge of reinsurance contract terms, conditions, and market standards
- Familiarity with reinsurance accounting and settlement processes
- Understanding of property and casualty insurance coverages and underwriting principles
- Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools
Preferred Qualifications
- ARe, CPCU, or other relevant professional designations
- Experience with both property and casualty lines of business
- Background in MGA/program business models
- Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and exposure management
- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to reinsurance transactions
- Experience with reinsurance-focused software platforms
