Job summary

Tampa Electric Company is seeking an experienced regulatory professional to oversee cost recovery filings, testify and prepare regulatory positions with FPSC and FERC. The role requires directing petitions, cost projections, and data responses while coordinating with Energy Supply, Electric Delivery Operations, Customer Care and Fuels Management.

Responsibilities include serving as a regulatory expert, educating departments on cost-recovery requirements, and representing TEC before regulators.

Qualifications

• Required: 10 years utility regulatory experience, including critical negotiations and high-impact initiatives.
• Required: 5 years of leadership managing a team.
• General knowledge of industry structure, history, utility finance and accounting practices.
• Proficient with PC-based software including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Oversee TEC cost recovery filings and regulatory activities with FPSC for multiple cost recovery clauses.
• Direct petitions, testimony, cost recovery projections and true-up filings; respond to data requests and audits.
• Serve as TEC expert witness before regulatory agencies during hearings and workshops.
• Coordinate with departments to develop testimony and supporting analyses for FPSC and FERC.
• Monitor FPSC filings and provide updates to officers and departments on regulatory issues.
