Energy Solutions is seeking a Director of Energy Efficiency – Midwest to set strategic direction and lead the delivery, performance, and growth of large-scale programs across the Midwest. The role oversees a multi-program portfolio with annual revenue exceeding $7M and shapes new business opportunities to expand the company’s energy efficiency footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Twelve+ years of progressive professional experience with at least five years in people leadership.
• Five+ years leading energy efficiency program implementation and growth, preferably in regulated environments.
• Experience managing complex operational teams delivering client outcomes.
• Proven contract negotiations, renewals, and performance discussions experience.
• Ability to translate client needs into operational execution across requirements and costs.
• Ability to balance priorities, manage ambiguity, and provide clear direction.
• Track record of organizational leadership and driving accountability at scale.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, cost management, margins.
• Thought leadership in energy efficiency, climate, and sustainability.
• Excellent client management, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced growth environment.
• Strong communication skills, including executive-level interactions.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of multiple large-scale energy efficiency programs, ensuring goals, deliverables, timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate across departments to guide software supporting program delivery.
• Manage program performance and budgets; mitigate delivery and compliance risks.
• Apply industry expertise to inform regional and enterprise decisions.
• Lead regional team of project managers and senior professionals (P1–M4).
• Develop, coach and retain talent; support growth and succession planning.
• Direct workforce planning: recruiting, staffing and workload distribution.
• Maintain executive-level client relationships and service excellence.
• Deliver results meeting energy-saving targets and KPIs.
• Influence regulators, clients, subcontractors, and partners.
