Job summary

Maryland Aviation Administration seeks a Director of Regional Aviation Assistance to regulate, develop, and improve Maryland’s general aviation and air carrier airports. The role oversees grant programs, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and statewide aviation initiatives at MA A.

The director will coordinate with FAA, airport sponsors, and government partners to advance infrastructure, safety, and education efforts across Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, airport management, transportation, engineering, public administration, business administration, or related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible professional experience in aviation, airport management, transportation, planning and development, safety programs, and supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual operating and capital budgets with multi-million dollar scope.
• Oversee statewide aviation education programs and airport inspections and safety data inspections.
• Plan and supervise aviation promotional activities and conferences.
• Process grant requests (AIP/MAPA) and ensure compliance before approval.
